Windows 11 Wi-Fi Connected but No Internet

A clear troubleshooting order for Windows 11 when Wi-Fi is connected but websites do not load.

If Windows 11 shows a Wi-Fi connection but websites do not open, the problem can be with the router, DNS, the network adapter or Windows network configuration. Test the simplest possibilities first so you do not change settings unnecessarily.

1. Check another website and device

Try two unrelated websites, then test the same Wi-Fi from another phone or computer. If every device is offline, restart the modem/router and check the internet service rather than changing the Windows computer.

2. Reconnect Wi-Fi

Turn Wi-Fi off and back on, or disconnect from the network and reconnect. This renews the wireless connection without changing advanced settings.

3. Restart the computer

A restart can clear a stuck network service or driver state.

4. Run Windows network diagnostics

Open Settings and use the built-in network troubleshooting options. Note any specific error it reports.

5. Consider DNS only after basic checks

If other devices work and the laptop can reach the router but domain names do not resolve, DNS may be involved. Avoid changing several network settings at once because that makes the original cause harder to identify.
